The main takeaway of the workshop was that Innovation is all about solving problems in a unique way, where limitations push creativity to thrive.
ImpacTech was happy to facilitate a 3 day Accelerator Program workshop for the iDare program of the Republic Polytechnic. The program included sessions in creativity, lean startup, introduction to fundraising and more.
Over 70 students attended the workshops and participated actively. Good luck to the students from the iDare program on their upcoming journey to build meaningful startups that tackle social issues.
Kineret Karin, Co-founder of ImpacTech had the honour and privilege to participate and moderate a panel at the The Nippon Foundation (日本財団) Social Innovation Forum 2019. It is the 4th consecutive year that Kineret is part of this exclusive event and this year she had the opportunity to hear about how Japan is tackling the problem of climate change and plastic waste in the oceans, by Mr. Shinjirō Koizumi Minister of the Environment of Japan.
This year the key more speaker of the forum was Prasoon Kumar, CEO of BillionBricks and one of ImpacTech Singapore’s alumni’s, which was introduced to the Nippon Foundation by ImpacTech.
ImpacTech Japan has started the second cohort of The Nippon Foundation Social Change Makers. 10 selected startups with a strong awareness of issues in the field of sports-tech, well-being, nutrition & social tech, were selected to the program.

ImpacTech Thailand ended the 6 month journey with TCEB in a prestigious graduation event held at True @ Siam Soi 2.
The 6 startups gave great pitches in front of guests and a panel of commentators from Singapore, Japan and Thailand, from various sectors related to the MICE industry. The event was followed by a cocktail dinner and a networking event.

The Nippon Foundation sent 10 employees to Israel for an Innovation Tour, to learn and understand about the Israel startup eco-system. #ImpacTech was honoured to facilitate this tour for the #NipponFoundation, to explore the Israeli innovations and the various partners supporting it.
