Nippon Foundation Innovation tour to Israel, facilitated by ImpacTech

The Nippon Foundation  sent 10 employees to Israel for an Innovation Tour, to learn and understand about the Israel startup eco-system. #ImpacTech was honoured to facilitate this tour for the #NipponFoundation, to explore the Israeli innovations and the various partners supporting it.

During the tour, we visited the Peres Centre for Peace and Innovation, Weizmann institute for science, met Israeli startups from various sectors, visited the Central Bureau of Statistics and of course, had some fun.

#ImpacTech co-founder, Kineret Karin, was invited by Cellebrite to give an inspirational talk to Cellebrite’s Singapore office employees about her entrepreneurial journey and how anyone can really “just do it”. Her talk inspires anyone to get out of their comfort zone and try new avenues in life.

Impactech is excited to kick off the TCEB MICE Acceleration Program in Bangkok, Thailand for 8 selected startups.
The program will consist of 16 modules, personal mentorship, introduction to local and global investors and high profile demo day. The program will engage with many stakeholders in the MICE industry in Thailand.Good luck to our 8 startups embarking on this journey:

1) KORBOK is traveller feedback platform we help organiser producer get real feedback and turn data to traveller insight for improve service experience amaze.

2) BIT service business for manufacturing and organization tourism with lean vision. Both party (Manufacturing and Tourism) will gain their maximum benefit by the team’s management.

3) Loops – Reserve your ride to concert is a vanpooling platform that everyone can suggest their own route and let others join in to make that route happen.

4) Mindstree App – a business toolkit for Community-based Tourism (CBT) consisting of data from over 300+ CBTs. Information such as activities, tour itineraries, homestay, meeting facilities etc.

5) Parkspace Application will let you know immediately the parking space that is available nearby destination for save time , save energy , more convenience and more comfortable.

6) Pochana is an online marketplace that matches businesses that need catering with caterers who also need business.

7) Potioneer is a platform that makes exclusive dining and drinking events widely available to the people who pursue such exclusivity. It can also significantly improve a ticket channel for the hosts.

8) SNEAK is a visual-based trip planning application that could turn photos of your dream destinations into ultimate itineraries complete with maps and navigation in minutes.

Nippon Foundation Social Change Makers Demo Day

The first cohort of the “Nippon Foundation Social Change Makers” graduated the 4 months program in an exciting Demo day at The Nippon Foundation office. The event had over 100 participants: investors, industry leaders, partners, and supporters. Mr. Arieh Rosen, Science and Culture Attache, from the Israeli Embassy in Tokyo, attended the event.

Mr. Junpei Sasakawa, Nippon Foundation Executive Director, was very impressed by the startups and their innovative solutions to solving meaningful problems, along with a sustainable business model.

We would like to wish our graduates success in their upcoming journey and welcome them to #ImpacTech Alumni Community.

We are proud and honored that #ImpacTech was selected to be among the founding members of Singapore Enablers Network (IEN). Minister of Trade and Industry and National Development, Mr. Koh Pho Koon attended the prestigious event.
The IEN brings together active innovation enablers in order to aggregate corporate co-innovation opportunities and provide a platform for corporates and startups to drive co-innovation. These innovation enablers play an important role to facilitate co-innovation, supporting both corporates that are just starting out their innovation journey and also, working closely with innovation labs for startup and technology scouting.

TCEB MICE Innovation Challenge Competition

What a great Innovation Challenge Competition day we had in Bangkok! After an intensive selection process, 12 startups, disrupting the MICE industry, were selected to participate in the Innovation Challenge competition.
10 startups from Thailand and 2 startups from Singapore competed in front of respectful judges from depa Thailand, NIA : National Innovation Agency, Thailand NSTDA – สวทช, GISTDA สำนักงานพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีอวกาศและภูมิสารสนเทศ (องค์การมหาชน), Saceos Singapore, Tabula Rasa and Thailand Convention&Exhibition Bureau (TCEB).
We were honored that TCEB president, Mr. Chiruit Isarangkun Na Ayuthaya participated in the prestigious event. Our 3 winning teams SNEAK, Mindstree, and Potioneer will each receive total prize money of THB 150K and additional rewards.
The 12 shortlisted startups will join the TCEB MICE Acceleration Program, powered by Impactech, that will start in August. TCEB partnered with ImpacTech to be it’s’ implementation partner to design, build and execute the TCEB MICE Innovation Challenge competition and acceleration program.
